Before using this CD, you must
have a Web Browser
and the Quicktime Browser Plug-in installed.
Internet Explorer or Netscape will work. We
recommend the following browsers:

Quicktime is an Apple product, but works on both Mac and PC systems.
Once downloaded, be sure that the Quicktime Plug-ins appear in
the "Plug-ins" folder
of your browser.
(You may also want to go into the Control Panels and open the
Quicktime Controls. Then, under "Browser Plug-in", choose
"MIME settings..."
Next to the application for ".mov" files, be sure that
the box is checked or that a "+" appears
next to the application. If you don't see the "+", just
click on the application for ".mov")
(The video portions of the CD are in .mov format, while the audio
cuts are in mp3 format.)
TO START USING THE CD:
***For best results with the audio/video portions, we suggest copying the entire contents of this CD onto your hard drive (simply drag the "trombonelessonsCD" folder onto your desktop).***
IMPORTANT:
1)Once you have a Browser installed
(along with the QuickTime plug-in), start the browser.
2) In the File menu, choose "Open...."
Navigate to "trombonelessonsCD" folder on the desktop
and double-click on "Welcome.html"

1) Open the Quicktime Player by double-clicking its icon
2) Under the EDIT menu, choose Preferences< Quicktime Prefs
3) In the Pop-up menu, choose Browser Plug-in settings
4) Click the MIME settings button
5) Be sure an "x" appears next to each file format for Video (.mov) and mp3(.mpeg). Just click in the box if you don't see an "x"
6) Once each file format shows an "x", close Quicktime
7) Restart your browser
8) In the FILE menu of your browser, choose "Open....." and navigate to the "welcome.html" on the CD. Double-click and you're up and running!
